Who we are

BigPlug ("BigPlug", "we", "us") runs the BigPlug app. These terms are an agreement between you and us. They cover the BigPlug app, the stores you create with it and the website mybigplug.com. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use BigPlug.

These terms work together with our privacy policy, our refunds and delivery policy and the weekly sales bonus rules.

Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement.
• Give us true details: your name, phone number, email and payout account. The payout account must be in your own name.
• One account per person. Don't sell or share your account.
• Keep your login code and cash-out PIN private. You are responsible for what happens on your account until you tell us it has been used without your permission.
• We may ask you to confirm who you are before you cash out, or when something looks wrong.

How selling works

BigPlug lets you pick products from our catalogue, set your own price on top of ours and share a store link with people you know. The people who buy from your store are "buyers". You are called a "plug".

• You don't buy or hold stock. Nothing is bought from the supplier until the buyer has paid.
• We, or suppliers and delivery partners we work with, handle sourcing, delivery and buyer payments.
• Your store shows your store name and your prices. Buyers don't see your phone number.
• You set your price on top of our base price. We may show a recommended price and may stop a price that is too low to cover delivery and fees.
• Products, base prices and availability can change. If a product sells out or its price changes after a buyer has paid, we will offer a swap or a refund.

Store hosting and fees

Store hosting

• Store hosting keeps your store live and gives you the catalogue. It costs ₦10,000 a month.
• While our launch offer runs, everyone who joins gets their first month free. We will tell you before the free month ends.
• Each month we take the hosting fee from your BigPlug balance first. If your balance is short, we send you a pay link.
• If hosting is unpaid, your store stays saved but you can't take new orders until it is paid. Orders already paid for are still delivered and your cut is still paid.
• You can cancel store hosting at any time in the app. It stops at the end of the month you have paid for. We don't refund part-months.
• We will give you at least 30 days' notice before changing the hosting price.

Our fee on each sale

We keep 10% of the amount you add on top of our base price. For example, if you add ₦8,000, we keep ₦800 and you get ₦7,200. If nobody buys, there is no fee.

Your balance and payouts

• When a buyer pays, your cut is shown as "on the way". It moves to your balance when the buyer confirms delivery, or 48 hours after delivery if the buyer doesn't respond or report a problem.
• If the buyer reports a problem, your cut is held until the problem is sorted. See the refunds and delivery policy.
• You can cash out your balance to your payout account with your PIN. Cash-outs are paid within 24 hours.
• When you add or change a payout account, we wait 24 hours before sending money to it, and we text you straight away.
• Some cash-outs, including large amounts and the first cash-out to a new account, are checked by a person before they are paid. This can take longer.
• If money is paid to you by mistake, or for an order that is later refunded because of fraud, we may take it back from your balance.
• Your BigPlug balance is not a bank account and doesn't earn interest. Payments are processed by licensed payment partners.
• You are responsible for any tax on what you earn.

Inviting friends

• You get 20% of what a friend you invite pays for store hosting for their first 3 months. It starts with their first payment, not their free month.
• Referral pay goes to your BigPlug balance. We may show it as covering part of your own hosting fee.
• You can't invite yourself, make fake accounts, or pay people to sign up and leave. We won't pay referrals that break this rule, and we may close the accounts involved.
• Plug Crew ranks and bonuses follow the rules shown on the Plug Crew page and in the app.

Buyers

Buyers don't need an account. When they order from your store, they pay BigPlug directly by bank transfer, card or USSD. We handle delivery, tracking and refunds. Their rights are set out in the refunds and delivery policy. You must not ask buyers to pay you directly for items from your BigPlug store.

House rules

To keep BigPlug fair for plugs and buyers, you must not:

• Make false claims about a product, its price, its origin or delivery times.
• Place fake orders, order from your own store to earn bonuses, or post fake reviews.
• Spam people, add them to groups without asking, or keep messaging people who have asked you to stop.
• Use another brand's name or logo in a way that suggests they sponsor or sell through you.
• Harass, threaten or cheat anyone, including buyers, other plugs and our team.
• Copy, scrape or resell the catalogue or the app, or try to get into systems or accounts you are not allowed to use.
• Use BigPlug for anything illegal, including money laundering or fraud.

You can report or block another user in the app. We review reports and may remove content or close accounts that break these rules.

Your content and ours

• You own what you create, such as your store name, your photos and your posts. You allow us to show and use it to run your store and BigPlug. If you share your earnings card or post in a group, other users can see it.
• We own the BigPlug name, logo, mascot, app and website, and the posts, photos and content we make for you to share. You may share our content to promote your store while your account is open. Don't change it in a misleading way.
• Product photos and brand names belong to their owners.

Closing an account

• You can delete your account at any time. See how to delete your account.
• We may pause or close your account if you break these terms, if we are required to by law, or to protect buyers or other plugs. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
• Before an account closes, we pay out any balance you have earned fairly, after open orders are finished and any money owed to us or buyers is settled.

Our responsibility

• We work hard to keep BigPlug running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free.
• Earnings shown in the app, on our website or in our posts are examples. What you make depends on what you sell and how many people you reach. We don't promise any amount.
• We are not responsible for losses we could not reasonably have foreseen, or for problems caused by things outside our control, such as network outages, strikes or bank delays.
• Where the law allows, our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
• Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Nigerian consumer protection law that can't be excluded.

Disputes and law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If you have a complaint, talk to us first through Talk to us in the app or by email, and we will try to sort it out. If we can't agree, either of us can take the matter to the courts of Nigeria, or to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as BigPlug changes. If a change matters to you, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using BigPlug after that, the new terms apply.
